Red Aperture Photography is small independent company specialising in personal, bespoke wedding photography which captures the story and emotion of your big day. After shooting dozens of weddings, we know how important it is that your photographer is not only someone who can put you at ease, blend into the background, and take great photos, but is also someone who is prepared to help out and be an extra pair of hands during a busy (and sometimes stressful!) occasion.
We pride ourselves on building a rapport with our clients, and it’s important to us that we get to know each other. That’s why we offer a photo trial with our initial meeting, as a well as a follow-up meeting 2-4 weeks before the big day to make sure we’re aware of the final itinerary and plans. During the wedding we aim to be discreet and unobtrusive, capturing candid, relaxed shots of your guests and special moments as the day unfolds.
In addition to the natural, photo-journalistic shoots we use to build the story, we think it’s important to get some group shots done. With a bit of luck, you’ll only ever do this once – and for that reason it’s important to have a photographic record of the family and friends you chose to share your day with. Finally, we never forget about the portraits – after all, it’s your big day, and why spend a lot of money on a beautiful dress and smart suit if you don’t get to be photographed like film stars!
Leading the photography is Dean Cawsey, often supported by his wife Eleri, and together they make a team which delivers a smooth service from initial inquiries through to final product. Having studied Film and Media Arts at University, Dean has a strong sense of narrative, and this comes across in his photos – telling the story of your day and building a picture of the characters and moments that make your wedding unique. Dean is passionate about photography, community and camping – often found touring the campsites of Wales and beyond with his family and beloved trailer tent.
